You Never Cared Poem by Melissa Gray

You Never Cared

Did you ever realize that you left me hurt?

Did you ever realize that you pushed me in the dirt?

Has the thought ever crossed your mind,

That the truth will be revealed, just give it time,

Do you ever lie awake at night,

And wonder if what you did was right,

It wasn't. You should be ashamed,

You only have yourself to blame,

You had a perfect reputation in my eyes,

Now I think that you're full of lies,

If this is who you truly are,

Don't expect me to let you back in my heart,

My life will never be the same, I assure you,

You will never understand what I went through,

You should have a guilty conscience,

If you don't, just know my pain is constant.

Was it necessary to make me cry?

Was it necessary to make me ask 'Why'?

Say that you love me if you dare,

Because I know that you never cared.
