You shut me down
you took
my power away from me
You shut me down
now my feet
they no longer
touch the ground
You shut me down
you took
my breath away
You shut me down
turned to dark
my sunny day
you pulled the switch
and turned out the light
you shut me down
you turned me
completely off!
You shut me down
like a body dead
lying upon the icy
cold ground
You shut me down!
