You Tried (You Know Who You Are) Poem by D.A. Woods

You Tried (You Know Who You Are)

Rating: 5.0

Torn between love and peace,
good and bad, hate and war,
this is what they made of me,
could they tear and forsake me anymore?
My mind has always been mine,
forced views, night time dreads,
hollowed out this girl in time,
raise my glass as my life begins and yours ends.
Im a fighter, a soul surviour,
a mother and my worlds protector
