Your Absence On My Canvas Poem by Nilufer Dursun

Your Absence On My Canvas

Rating: 5.0

YOUR ABSENCE ON MY CANVAS

On my canvas,
I drew all of your multi-colored, your absence...
Painted with the wines as the taste of cupbearer,
The colour of red wine...
I brought down the colour of a season, in a big hurry,
Was gotten muddy autumn...
The colour of all birds whom I painted white,
Remined behind, a cloud full of rain...
I collected the flowers which make love with the rainbow,
Food of the mountain...
I drew yellow white daisies of various sizes...
The colour of sun which is painted a warm yellow,
Afterwards;
On a concrete stair of a gank plank...
Came closer to the sea gulls which you used to feed with your hand...
During the multi-colored of sunset,
I lost in the middle of a carmine sea...
Later added a departure at the back of my canvas...
Your reflection whom left behind, was poured into my eyes...
Your perfume of rest was hanged to a mild wind...
My longing to a glass of well-steeped tea,
And,
Your absence of years end, made me much more upset,
Than your hands whom I drew holding at a gang plank...
However now,
I'm in the gardens of September...
