Your Intrigue In Me Poem by John W. McEwers

Your Intrigue In Me

The first moment after we fell into bed
I was on Mars, in the stratosphere, weightless
(which is a nice change)
floating and breast-stroking in satin sheets
soaking up the charms of your ionosphere
electric-charged, particle-accelerating legs
splitting the atoms of my love gears

Our blood cells collide in a fusion reactor
of heavy heartbeats like hoofbeats
like a cavalry is charging toward our souls
lances drawn ready to penetrate us
with hammered-bronze love.
