Your Own Race Poem by Tameeka Smith

Your Own Race

Rating: 4.5

Stop looking beside you
Stop glimpsing behind you
Pull from what is deep inside of you
Run forward
We all have our own race to run
We all have goals to accomplish
We can't do it by watching other people's races
That's a mistake
Yes it's great to see
And recognize when God blesses others
But never gawk or stare
Keep running your own race
You will reach your goals
The finish line is just in
Your sights
Understand when we try to run
Someone else's race
We never will make it
To the finish line of
Another person's race
Run the designed race that
God has for you
You will be thankful
That you stuck it out
