But now our feelings never show

I use to be the kind of person
Who'd always take a chance
But lately it seems
I'd rather sit down than dance

Walking through the day
You and I holding hands
Doing the best we can
In trying to understand

His faith in Christ
Never waivered
An only son
He always favored
...

It seems that as the years roll by
I still give life a try
Though sometimes I wonder why
...

He was living on the edge
A life out of control
He seemed to have no feelings
He fell into life's black hole
...

I thought I'd call you up
To see how you are doing
But then I thought, I better not
As it could be my undoing
...

The days are empty
The nights are lonely
Living here without
My one and only
...
