Bits And Pieces Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Bits And Pieces

Rating: 4.0

Just as early rains
leave little buds of promise
strewn unfulfilled
on the ground,
a sudden change in my fortune
has cast my hopes and plans
to the wind
in a cruel twist.

Have to pick up all
my lost tomorrows;
start over with
one last hope remaining,
.... the insurance.
Have always
resented the hell
out of insurance;
those bits and pieces
out of my life.

But now,
bits and pieces
is all I have left;
I need help
to put it all back
together again.
