I'm walking on ashes, from the bridges I've burned
Walking backwards from all the corners I've turned
I'm tattered and shattered, my heart cries in pain
I'm worn out Lord, from years lived in vain
We just never know what our lives will become
We run right through it with dreams left undone
I've walked alone for so many years
I could sure use a friend Lord, please say you'll be there
Your Angels watched over me so many times
With you by my side, many mountains I've climbed
Sometimes it's hard, putting thoughts into words
I know what my heart feels, but there's times I'm unheard
Lord, give me my truth
Give me my voice
Lord, give me the sounds to help me rejoice

This was an absolutely beautiful piece of poetry. I loved every word of it. I'm going to give it a rare 10 and I'm going to make it a favorite, because there was a real heart holding this pen. GW62
