I really don’t care
If I’m buried at sea
Just as long as you’re there
And they bury me deep
We buried our treasure
In a mountain steep
In catacombs of pleasure
We buried it deep
When you blew me away
Like a hair from your cheek
There was nothing to say
Except, “Bury me deep”
I knew I could dream
I just couldn’t sleep
I wanted to scream
But I buried it deep
Away from your heart
As your conscience retreats
I know you have started
To bury me deep.
Wow this boggles the mind. I love the repetition of a single line or phrase; done well it carries the poem along like an enchantment, and you've really exceeded the form here with these words. I like it much.
A poignant piece but very well written....your imagery is perfect.
This is an amazing write, I am very impressed and keep reading it over and over.
A great poem Jack. I don't think it needs revision. I enjoyed all the poem, but particularly the third verse. Personally, I'd go for cremation. Best Regards Steve
