Confetti Poem by Jeannette Heywood

Confetti

Rating: 4.5

Light and white, fluffy, like snowflakes.
Flower girls stoop to pluck them for keepsakes.

A rainbow of paper o'er us floats down.
It sticks to our hair, your sleeve and my gown.

Some falls swiftly to ground, a rainbow path we now tread.
Some slowly, gently, flutters overhead.

With each handful, blessings they bestow.
For true love between us ever to flow.

A colourful cloud the two of us covers.
Soul-mates, now spouses and forever lovers.

We watch paper charms of good luck glide us by.
Our future wishes and dreams alongside them fly.

Sweet. I don't really identify with young newlywed love any more, but I value your imagery. We readers can see what you see through this descriptive poem.
