A cool winter's night
Shadows from the moon light
The city masked in dark
And this late hour marked
By a clock in plain sight
Tick tock the clock goes
As the numbers slowly grow
The clouds circle round
As it makes it's constant sounds
The piercing wind blows
No matter what the hour
The clock has no power
Liveliness never dies
Even in the skies
Light comes in showers
Shadows paint the streets
But the city never sleeps
Tick tock the clock goes
As the numbers slowly grow
Hidden and silent it creeps
The city never stops
So forgotten is the clock
Blinded by the city lights
They continue without fright
For fear of time is locked
Tick tock the clock goes
As the numbers slowly grow
Hidden and silent it creeps
But the city never sleeps
Disappearing quiet and slow
