very thick grass beneath my feet
turned mulch from searing blades
brown now, much in rugged piles
rain will come soon, wash it away
grasshoppers nibble what is left
worms burrow deeper, maybe fear
my shadow east of me, cool day
some random breeze kisses me
trees are much bigger to hug
gently falling leaves, i see
i picture your smile close to
feel warmth flowing i cheerish
