Matt Mercer Poems

Death is a part of life
The end of a chapter
But not the book
No longer will there be any pain
...

We used to sit in a silence so deep
without a whisper,
without a peep

As I look into your eyes
...

There has always been a time,
when we thought we could bring balance,
and peace,
and justice,
...

I wish I could have met you
all over again,
Then we could re-live it
all over again
...

Up and down the boulevard
I walk it alone
Silently waiting
For them to come along
...

When the tired sun begins to set
at least you know I'm here
And when the restless sea crashes
You know I'm always by your side
...

I try to leave behind the recess
of the darkness left within
and even though I'll never win
losing was never an option
...

Early that Wednesday night
I went out for the thrill
my mind was opened
For the lies to spill
...

The young man, and the young woman
Seemed as content as they could be
Finding a whole new world together;
Just to be free
...

Once there was a man
sitting in his own little world
propelling his unanswered questions, to the man above
He knew the answers could never be
...

There once was a promise of  life,
That we thought would always be there
It makes no difference
Because it's god's decision...
...

12.

I live my life
without a friend
I never knew
The days have passed
...

I'm writing my history
every step of the way
I want to go back
to right the wrongs
...

There isn't enough time
And life as we know it
Is too sublime
It soars on through
...

Evil's grin
It's among you
Trapped within
...

Skipping along the yellow brick road
Not a care, nor trouble in sight
Every day, is a day spent in heaven
As children we play
...

My dearest friend, if you only knew, of the horrible restraints that have been placed upon me. For if you did, you would know, to stay by my side and never let go. It took me years, just to rearrange my mind, trying hopelessly for love to find. But in the end life is too cruel and so unkind
...

The sun will rise,
Under this white cover
But will it set by,
By the early summer
...

One year took so long
Standing in my way
Separating me from you
Fate made it clear
...

Standing tall
Face to Face
A view to the eye
A sight to embrace
...

The Best Poem Of Matt Mercer

Death Is A Part Of Life

Death is a part of life
The end of a chapter
But not the book
No longer will there be any pain
Nor strife

Their absence leaves a story
Never to be forgotten
But always to be told
One to base our lives on
To shape and, to re-mould

We’re born to die
With no reason to answer
We’re left behind
As those we love, say goodbye
Off to a place, beyond the sky

But know this, my young friend
That you are strong, in your heart, and in your mind
There is so much grace, flowing from within

You have so much love, yet some stay blind
But your compassion lies out, to those left behind
