Morakinyo Temiloluwa Bolarinwa Poems

The wonders of our love be so magical,
when we be different in form, our hearts
do bind us to make us one,
For as time and space may drift us apart,
...

so everyday I live my life,
without regret of living acts,
for everyday I live my life,
I do my best like its my last.

We are like Naked soles treading on thorns, helpless and lonely in fate's turns. We are like muds under Oluwere, tasting droplets of the sky's shower. We despise our conditions,
...

As you go to bed, may angels guard your head, may you sleep in a cherubim's hand, in dream, dwell in the seraphim's land, wake in peaceful ease, as heaven's sonorous hymn, offer you a sweet night dream.

What do men make of life, a property, personal right of ownership, a War, the field where death and violence thrive. a game, lie upon lie for leadership. I see what men make of life! a race, rats running to no end,
...

Who tills the path of man,
who draws the map?
Who draws the dotted lines,
who fills the gap?

Waves of the creek splashed at my feet, as I and my compatriots jumped down in eagerness, our journey from the Isle of Snake has started, and we watched the boat man roar his engines away.

Oju merin loun bimo, Igba Oju lon wo dagba, a thousand palms clapping the baby's name, a thousand voices singing the lullaby, a thousand eyes watching the growth, a thousand smiles, a thousand tears,

The baby grows into the man, a thousand steps, a thousand thought, a thousand persons cross his path, a thousand lessons, thousand experiences, thousand aim, thousand goals, a thousand feelings to shape his views, a thousands principles but one he'd choose.

'On this Night of a thousand stars, let me take you to the heaven's door, where the music of love's guitar, Plays forever more'

On this day of all days, when walls of lives crash for another,
when the one red sun blights the million stars, when big fishes swallow glory days,

I sprung around in mindless fun,
and there you were, sitting,

Two roads diverge in a yellow wood,
definitely I must do what I should,
the woods hum in a hopeless mood,
hungry but needless of food.

Armed, set, ready, fight!

with painted lids and ruby lips,
with arid face and talon nails,

Released but with chains,
happy but in pains,
I am free but in a cage,
before the audience, never on the stage.

the shackles of ideals are compelling,
the question remains the side to be,
with how things are and they are meant.

Magic Of Love

The wonders of our love be so magical,
when we be different in form, our hearts
do bind us to make us one,
For as time and space may drift us apart,
so shall our souls find each other back.

The wonders of our love be so magical,
our feelings unchanged in rock or rift.
