012409a Pink Rose Poem by Manonton Dalan

012409a Pink Rose

tiny footprints on murky pool
lead to broken branches; path
hidden on ledge of mountain
disguise as rock formation
only clawed-feet could pass
to reach bosom of crimson

petals adore rays from a gap
slowly wilt to ravage of time
dried tears from silent cries
touched hearts across blue lake
leaves fell turn to dust, gone
hope fades left with breath

flood of tears filled path
multiple feet passed to visit
with gifts, praises, prayers
left; everything washed away
only vivid memories remain
that i would be in silence
every time moments came

… rest now my loving sister
you’re my hero. i always make
you proud of me before,
now and forever.012409(16) .
