it's raining outside my door
it's cold, it's windy and it pours
night still with me i could see
water start flowing from driveway
if this will continue much longer
i know the lake would get deeper

some would be wishing it stops
this month we really needed that
for grass growth so as flowers
blooming to the tune of lovers
i have golf umbrella in my car
good enough for walk, mile far

i will bring shirt and pants, in case
rain won't be please, pour sideways
road could be slippery, hydroplane
spray on your windshield a pain
inconsiderate people they just drive
unknowing what they are causing
