041810a Lost Steps

a pretty little girl wander to the swamp
got lost; end up sleeping on tree stump
bitten by bugs. scared by snakes n nights
saw skinks, owls, eagles, lizard no alligator
ate a fern but spit it out, too gross for intake
ate mushy green fruit, could be wild berry

she tried chasing helicopter's shadow
but keep losing it; faster than she know
then miracle came for neighborly rescue
claimed to be directed by godly blessing
found her dehydrated, swollen feet and weak
everybody cheers; very thankful; it wasn't tragic
