042910q Come To Lit

tepee land exploded with frenzy
screaming as loud as it could be
we dance on snow with empty bowl,
frozen ground but with happy soul

fire burst, embers flying, smell of burning
smiling faces, talking heads awakening
tom-tom drums beating, rejoicing, sending
to the whole world the food is cooking

let the braves and the children eat
elders and women eat what’s left
left over will be dried and keep
till the sun on the east come to lit

we did good i must confess
keep the children get a rest
tomorrow we’ll go to the cave
will take our horses to the lake
