beautiful yellow bracing the wind
in the midst of outcropping rocks
its pollen filling cracks & crevices
gathered by ants for a miser meal
i put my shadow on her for relief
her leaves reaching to my sleeve
blows must have made her strong
stem to withstand such for so long
i admire her audacity against odds
where some could crumble very fast
we should be like her, we should be
to survive this world of ours honestly
