289. The Inexpressible Sacred Moments

Rating: 5.0

Few days ago in an afternoon
When I was returning home
I was on a railway platform
And waiting for catching a train.

After fifteen minutes a train came
And I boarded a compartment
That was not so crowded
But I found no empty seat there.

So I was standing between
Two rows of seats.
Suddenly I saw a girl of twenty
Trying to manage a seat for me.

Her unheard words told me to sit there.
Then I sat on the fourth seat.
She cared for me enough
So that I might sit there comfortably.

Perhaps she would live a solitary life.
So she was so happy with my affinity.
I took out my cell with headphone
To listen to few classic Hindi songs.

I was listening to a romantic song
From the song library of my cell
And reading my love poems
On the screen of my smart phone.

The girl was so quiet and lovely
As her manners expressed.
Her one hand was on my shoulder
As if I was her sweetheart.

I was busy with reading my poem 'Love'.
Her eyes were also on my cell's screen.
The eyes of the passengers of the train
Expressed as if we were a sweet couple.

She wore a nice designed pink sweater.
With her warm touch I became a lyre
Which created a sweet melody.
I was happy to listen to the unheard song.

The perfume spread on her dress
Fascinated and addicted me badly.
I felt as if I was in an amorous garden
With a fairy dancing around me.

Though I did not see her face so well
She seemed to be so romantic, so lovable.
We spoke nothing to each other.
Yet our hearts shared with each other so much.

I passed just thirty minutes sitting beside her
But it seemed as if I travelled with her
All the romantic places of earth and heaven.
Perhaps she enjoyed the moments as I did.

I left my seat as I almost reached my destination.
Then I was standing for five minutes near the gate.
She looked at me as if I had been known to her for years
And her eyes expressed not to alight from the train.

I could not turn my eyes from her face.
I was surprised as she was lovelier than I guessed.
The period of thirty minutes which impacted on us
Is romantic, inexpressible and truly sacred.

The train stopped and I had to get down from it.
I was standing on the platform just for few seconds.
Then I saw her eyes filled with unseen tears.
They were saying, 'Be happy; we will meet again dear! .'

Standing between two rows to perceive wideness of expression. Reaching almost to destination unifies ideas. This is an interesting poem shared on here.10
