King Midas (Dallas, Texas)

What do you think this poem is about?

6: 21

The treasure lays in a place
So very far away
A place I've only been to once
Yet I dream of every day

For inside those castle walls
Lives my heart and soul
The love of a thousand angels
My hopes, my dream you stole

It was the greatest downfall
Since dear Adam and ol' Eve
I know that it's not your fault
All the blame must fall on me

Yet I resent the ground you walk on
The very air that you breathe
For with my treasure in your possession
You've become the King of Thieves

Where my treasure is
Is where my heart shall lay
An abyss for the ages
A desperate heart so full of spite
