A Cry For Friendship Poem by Colin Burger

A Cry For Friendship

Rating: 5.0

Sitting here all alone
Nothing to do, no one to talk to
Falling through this nightmare wondering if I’ll ever make it out
No one cares, no one listens
Feelings well up inside and tears run down my face
Hopeless nights of sorrow bind my every fiber
As I cry to no one by my ever listening pillow
Everyone is gone, it’s only me here
Unable to let my feelings out, I sit here
I sit here wondering
What would it be like to have someone to listen
Someone to give a damn
Someone who is willing to be there for me when I need them
Someone I can call my friend
A friend

How many times in my life's time it felt that way? Countless times my friend! However, the day when I discovered myself, I found in me a new and special friend and realized that I was not alone at all! I found a friend in the Sun that everyday warms me up! I found a friend in the Moon and the Stars who inspire me every night! How found friends in the joyful birds who sang to welcome me every morning! I found the greatest friend ever, I found the Mighty One above to keep me company everywhere and all time! This is a well penned and poignant write! 10+++ It shows your clearly your poetic talent! Keep it up! God Bless You! Love and Peace for always! Romeo from New York City...
