A Day Of Spring

On this day of spring
Wind is filled with flower's smell
And the cuckoos sing!

I can't really explain why, but i like this haiku. most haikus are like that i guess. i occassionally write what Kerouac called American Haiku - same concept, but it doesn't have to follow the 5-7-5 rule. as long as it says something profound or a unique observation in 3 short lines. well done here. -R- (Report) Reply

From what I've heard about springs, UI'd say it is an admirable season. You are indeed a good writer of Haiku, it's good to find someone else that takes so much pride in writing it. Well done. (Report) Reply

poet Ambrose Bierce

Weather
by Ambrose Bierce

Once I dipt into the future far as human eye could see,
And I saw the Chief Forecaster, dead as any one can be--
Dead and damned and shut in Hades as a liar from his birth,
