A Desire To Travel Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I left free my desire/wish to travel on high speed sound
On the way to offer love, hugs and warmth if found
Not to restrict to any one if came forward o embrace
Offer all kinds of comforts with sweet smiling face

Life has become so cheap with all kind of worries
Love has lost its meaning and instead hatred carries
It lacks all its ingredients or essentials in true spirit
In all spheres or walks of life we are never upbeat

May be our moral values are shrinking very fast
This is defeatist tendency and it may not soon last
We are loosing sight of goal and undermine the relation
They turn sour and sweetness has no upward elation

Let is do no harm to humanity for the sake of survival
It requires tremendous efforts for its revival
It is not that environment has polluted our kind heart
We are swept away by onslaught of bad start

It is feared that it may not end so soon
The sun is oozing too much heat in the noon
This new phenomenon of distrust may engulf us all
Can’t we expect emergence of new dimension with sincere call?

We need to have balanced thoughts and approach
Nothing should undermine or act detrimental as such
It is our tradition to up hold it with greater strength
We got to move little extra and find good wave length

Once desire is let loose or allowed to roam free
It may want to have spring or blossom on every tree
It is right kind of thinking to wish for good thing
Let all fancy thoughts go across the horizon on wing

There may also be like minded people thinking on same
It may find favor and may not be considered as game
It is not a joke simple thing to be laughed at
We got to think seriously and goal is to be set

If it doesn’t receive equal response from other side
It may serve no purpose and we have only darkness to hide
There may be nothing left to rejoice even with all happiness
Even if it is flooded with all qualities minus goodness


Desire and wish will have no meaning if not imposed on good will
It may have deadly combination to counter the evil skill
It may create congenial atmosphere for all to live in
Free air with no bondage to surface or let in
