A Galaxy Of One Poem by Patti Masterman

A Galaxy Of One

Rating: 4.5

Could be that the true soul
Is stretched tautly thin
Throughout the hidden world-
Thinner than a quark crepe,
Floating atop quark soup
Absorbing and processing
The very things
Which engineer our reveries
What if we could experience
Every possible lifetime
That imagination might fancy
From birth to death; to live, to love,
To fling ourselves into
Every conceivable venue
With only a touch of deja-vu
Now and then, to betray it-
The beady darkness teems
With myriad uncharted voyages
From you, the single port of entrance
For the legion of intrepid children souls:
Wanderers breathed into life
By one travellers existence.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Jim Troy 30 August 2011

I only recall that when I awoke I was angry that I was back. Perhaps there is a forever journey through many different lifetimes, and there is no end to gathering. Many things of imigination seem to seek a recall as well as long for the journey I admire the way your fantastic mind put this one on display....another beauty. Jim Troy
