A Pleading Amongst The Stars Poem by James Darwin Smith II

A Pleading Amongst The Stars

Rating: 4.5

Stars, Stars
Take me away
Towards the brightest one in fact!

Dreaming in space
Of the matter of a vast galactic roam
To the hunter of the skies
The shiniest reign of them all

In blue streaks I wonder
Thoughts like a comet
Trying to drift this soul
Where it needs to go

Unlimited glory
Out of the ordinary is where I would be
Freed of this guise
The remorse of all simple improbabilities

To unpredictable probabilities I dream
Those for which I could never comprehend
Learning the knowledge kept stowed away
From all of these tough enduring years, behind

Stars, Stars
Guide me through
This soul is ready to be fully intact

In another dimension
At home in the nomadic restless confusion
Dreaming of escaping this mass illusion
Grasping hope in each blink of these eyes

Body and soul
The soul is ready to move on
Natural unnatural settings
Beyond the limits of the sky

Stars, Stars
I await your arrival
My love goes well beyond earth itself

Lend me a ride towards a universal,
Love towards a brand new life
One brighter than anything I have ever seen before

Stars, Stars, you are the strength that keeps me alive!
