A Quiet Melody Poem by Deborah White

A Quiet Melody

Two sweet gentle hearts brought together by chance.
A charming love story; rapt cleverly in romance.
Still, soft, whispered, hushed as an Irish lullaby.
True love knows no bounds so reach for the sky.

The smallest of weddings set on the biggest stage.
You didn’t close a book, you just turned the page.
Love held by two, reaching out and touching four.
Life begins again when you walk through the door.

This is my wedding gift to both of you. A hand
held out in friendship. Love and best wishes
now joined together; sent sincere and true.
With a prayer devotion will watch over you.

A pretty girl in a raspberry dress, has walked a
very long mile. It’s just so lovely to see her now;
face lit up, wearing a gorgeous smile. No more
tears only joy; for a beautiful friend, and her Irish boy.

Rejoice with a quiet melody, subtle, understated.
Sing an unforgettable love song for a wedding day.
Share your happiness laughter and gladness always.
And love will forever come your way.
