A Revolving Sense

I close my eyes fast
To wash the negatives
To deliver a sweet picture
Of my emotions which I have got
In my pregnant senses
I check all the points
But no ways I find to trade
The strangeness of it that
It keeps revolving in my head
A lousy headache I feel
But I can not throw it
Or put it down as I do not see
The rays of means in the dark

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
