Listening to the birds a chatter and the
mother's feverishly trying to teach the
young how to eat, with each little
move she made, the young would
mock till they got it right
Why can't life be this simple, why
must complications always enter
when we are trying our best to do
what we feel is right
Scattering about as furriously as
the mother squirel was showing
her young to run fast from danger,
following her command up the tree
they ran
Why cant we understand when danger
is about to harm us for a lifetime, why
is it so difficult to decipher right from
wrong
I dont think we will ever know the
mysterious ways of life, we will
only except what is given to us
as the bird, and the squirrel, do
not ask, just accept........
Bonnie, You put a lot of deep thought into your words which are quilled with perfection. Thanks always for sharing your talent! Robert
Wonderful poem as alway very intelligently put. I do love this piece it is possibly one of my favorites of yours.
I think we can learn a lot about the simplicity of life from little creatures. Well written, Bonnie. '10! ' Best Wishes, Marilyn
that was a lovely poem...the squirrel is not a great thinker but it lives...we think and choose without accepting what is there and we dont live-10
The teaching of the children are a continuous involvment of both parents and we still don't understand why we can't learn like the squirrel and the bird. Thanks for a reminder of a lesson learned many years ago, that your poem allowed me to put back into play in my life. Great write, Lynn
