Please never be afraid to fear
Fear the next book if you will
The next page or the last word
As terrifying as they may seem
But please never be afraid to fear
For it is the fear you free yourself to feel

Just happend to have recently read a long article in the London Times about how forms of modern parenting that stress all forms of 'risk avoidance' is actually harming the children. Unable to explore on their own and learn by stubbing their toe, they grow up to equate fear with dispair. Fear motivates and lets you know where your current limitations are, and that they can be expanded. If they couldn't we'd still be banging two rocks together. Another good poem I fear. Tom
