Alma Mater Poem by Ratnakar Mandlik

Alma Mater

Rating: 5.0

Go! the God orders and then we are born
To enjoy the possible best in the sojourn.
In the world as a kid first we step in
And pass from here as a grown up man.

Physique grows though any where we live
As a zoon we could have kept ourselves alive.
But the intellect, the divine gift to human,
Compelled us to open institutions to learn.

These institutions are our alma maters,
Where a zoon in a man gets transformed.
Here we know the worthy and the damned
In world, guided by our learned teachers.

As long as God graces human to survive,
So long his love for almamater will live.

These institutions are our alma maters, Where a zoon in a man gets transformed.- - I doubt if any one else can describe this subject as nicely as you've done...you've chosen a very apt title too....thank you for sharing this poem here 10++++

Yes, we have a special bond to our Alma Maters... our first training grounds and our second home! There, from a raw state, we are turned into refined individuals! I share your sentiment! !
