Almost Christmas Poem by Marilyn Lott

Almost Christmas

Everywhere I go now, I see beautiful
Christmas lights and such
In the stores folks gather ‘round
There is a busy holiday touch.

Baskets filled right to the top
With presents for family and friends
Bows and fancy ribbons to go
On packages for colorful blends

Yards are decorated up so bright
They always make me smile
I love to drive around my town
And enjoy them for awhile

Kitchens filled with delightful smells
For cookies and fudge are being made
Drop in for a cup of coffee now
And you are certainly glad you stayed

For you see, it’s almost Christmas
But let us look back in time
To that tiny precious baby in a manger
And keep Jesus in our mind!
