I know how it is to be lost
Rejected, scorned and abused.

I know the feeling and the cost
Of being unloved, cheated and used.

The hidden wounds, they always bleed
The angry words... they keep returning.

And through the years they all seemed healed
Those emotional scars just keep on hurting.

I used to hide under my bed.
My tears would dry as I fall asleep.

The fear and pain go through my head
And there's no one there to whom I can weep.

In anguished cry I called His name -'Jesus! '
No other word, not a scream for help.

He came, embraced me and called me... 'Child'
From then on His Loving Kindness I felt.

'Your days are written in My Book
Before any of them came to be-

I have you in the palm of My Hand, just look
Your tears are recorded in eternity.'

Today you are My treasured possession
Nothing in creation can separate us,

I bought you on the Cross of Redemption,
You received Me when you said 'Jesus''.

Now Earth has nothing that I can desire
For God is my Strength and Portion forever

My Lord and Savior, my Consuming Fire
I was lost now I'm found, Jesus My Redeemer!
