An English Cat Poem by Maddy Jones

An English Cat

Rating: 4.5

Stepped on the tail,
Of an english cat,
The kind that wears,
A gentleman's hat,

'Why have you crushed,
The tail on my bum?
Do you have to be told?
That hurts, by gum! '

'I didn't see you,
I'm sorry, dear cat,
Your tail's under m'shoe,
I'm sorry about that'

'That was intentional!
Do not deny!
You did that on purpose,
Then disgustingly lied! '

The gentleman cat,
Not chivalrous now,
Has scratched out my eyes,
But I never saw how,

I have learned my lesson,
To watch where I go,
But now I am blind,
So how will I know?

Very cute rhyme. Perhaps it could be used in a book of childrens poems. And its a perfect poem in that context. I'm working on one myself. Keep sharing your heart Maddy.
