An Epitaph Theme Of An Earthly Traveler Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

An Epitaph Theme Of An Earthly Traveler

Rating: 4.3

I would like to see
A thousand flower grow over my breast
Upon the land where I am laid to rest
And thus loudly proclaim to the world
How deeply I loved the blue earth,
Its mountains, its rivers,
Its hills, its plains, its plateaus,
Its forest, its ocean,
Its skies, its opulence -
Its blessings that we call life
Short and colourful like a flower
That germinates on the earthly bower
Gifting us time, our glorious hour!
