Like the rain from the skies
Her tears start to fall
As it wells around her eyes
I can hear her silent call

And when she cries the leaving's over
I'’ ll take her to my arms and leave her never
Or at least until her tears subside
I'’ ll do my best to bid these feelings hide

As the lightning cuts the skies
My tears start to fall
As the thunder echoes loud
I recall our promised words

For when she cries my leaving’ 's over
I’ 'll promise once again to leave her never
I'’ ll stay until her fears subside
And hide my own down deep inside

With weary arms I unpack my bag
Remembering each and every hug
Recalling the feelings that I once had
How this foolish parting makes it all bad

‘ 'Cause when she cries my strength goes fading
It makes me think twice about my leaving
For when she cries my heart goes melting
Reminds me just how much she needs my loving

So when she cries my leaving'’ s over
I’ 'll hold her in my arms and leave her never
