Answered Questions Poem by Joshua Hudson

Answered Questions

Laughing
Crying
Living
Dying
Spinning on a sphere in space
Giving
Taking
Loving
Hating
Is it all a total waste?
Breathing but a moment
Even grandeur fades
Erosion and decay
Reclaim the monuments we've made
The greatest works of man will fail to stand the test of time
As the planetary march proceeds along without decline
Merely for a moment we will revel in our day
Then the moments passed and like the driest grass were blown away
Is there meaning to existence?
Is our lot just random chance?
Is there more than matter's evolutionary happenstance?
If there is then maybe all's not vain
And we have more to lose or gain
Than what we've purchased
Our good name
Bank accounts
And fleeting fame
As this vast universe revolves
Is there a plan behind it all?
The faintest voice that might be heard
Eternally God's very word
Inscribed throughout and deep inside
A truth that's there and cannot hide
That speaks of purpose and design
Perfection would but be divine
A perfect balance causing life
Perfect systems, water, light
Everything perfectly sustained
By a perfect God
Who forever reigns
If you listen
If you look
You'll see all matches with the book
And if you'll open mind and heart
A masterpiece
A work of art
Will take the place of man's best try
To smear God's glory with a lie
Our lives were not to pass in vain
But to return from whence we came
To our Great Father and Creator
Perfect Lord
Perfect Savior
