Are you sure that you really love me?
Are you sure there is no mistake?
I have opened up my heart before
and suffered from bitter heartbreak.

I don't want you to say that you love me
and later discover you were wrong.
I would rather not commit myself to love
and be left with heartache all day long.

But if you do have any kind of doubts,
and would like to wait a little longer.
I would rather you are absolutely sure
so that our love can grow much stronger.

I have no doubts about my love for you,
and I dearly would love you to love me.
But just because I have told you how I feel
I don't want that to influence your honesty.
