At The Expense Spent Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

At The Expense Spent

Almost bare to nearly naked wearing feathers,
On a fashion runway with arms out stretched.
And the viewers watching this in prime-time on TV,
Are solicited to believe this temptress has secrets!
Hidden behind see through loosely fitting attachments.

While those assigned to probe the internet,
Hope to find anyone disobeying censorship laws...
That protect and not conflict with the innocence,
Of children maiming and killing enemies depicted...
Found conveniently on high priced video games.

And at the expense spent by parents wishing...
Their children less exposed to filth they might read!
Or perceived to bring to them mental harm,
That may cause them to commit deeds...
A wholesome and normal society declares is inappropriate.
