At What Cost Poem by Dave Alan Walker

At What Cost

Rating: 5.0

If what we see is wrong
if what we can do
can put it right
should we do so
no matter what the cost

Should we risk everything
to put it right
how long should we
turn a blind eye

Does the end justify the means - an age old question, and one upon which to ponder. Good one Dave.

Quite a challenge this one, rather like a white lie.., guess it`s all about who gets hurt, great thought.

We always know when to move forward with confidence for goodness sake, I suppose it depends on what you stand to loose and how much harm it will do to your loved ones, God bless.

Well, that all comes down to 1 question which you and only you can answer...Is whatever it is that you want to actively get involved in changing worth any negative consequences, albeit your motives and efforts would be noble, and meritable...I'm not a person who generally nlooks the other way at things that I feel are inapropriate, dangerous or plain out-right WRONG! That said, Dave, the ole' cliche 'Ends justifying the means' at times must at least be given due consideration....Pyrrhic accomlishment also comes 2 mind...Hey, you goy me musing here...and thats what makes for a fine penning by a fine author.....Kudos! ~FjR~
