Awaken Dreams Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Living in a world that changes constantly, something always
challenging our minds and lives with emergencies that need
to be taken care of right away.

Then there are those things that we've tucked away silently
in hopes of attaining one day in the future, hopes, dreams
that we've dreamed of for years.

Now put on a back burner because something else has gotten
in the way of our plans, at times giving up on all that
we once dreamed of and wanted so desperately to happen.

Lying in darkened corners of our minds, not being thought
of very often any more, why not take them out, look at
them, renew the hopes we once had of accomplishing them.

There's always that one chance that may bring them alive
and happen for you, that would be heaven right here on
earth.

Why not try to awaken those dreams, feed them with focused
thoughts and inner strength of hope that was lost in those
hard times of the past.

You may then be surprised at how fast you can accomplish
them now today, you'll never know unless you take that
first step right now, don't delay another moment.
