Being Nobody Poem by Manasi Agarwal

Being Nobody

Have you lived your dream?
Is there something you will die for?
Is the purpose of your life ‘purposeful’?

Questions which plague us all
It’s important to have the ‘right’ answers
For people to know, that you know
To command respect in a crowd
So that you are heard, clear and loud

But I want to flow, with the stream of life
Discover every bit of me without any struggle or strife
I want to see the world and feel every heart beating
Live for people, not for a dream
I want to be someone who cannot be defined
Not with fame, not with success, not with the extra dime

I want to be Nobody
But be everywhere
Touch lives as I move on
Be remembered as someone who truly cared
