The Value Less World Poem by Manasi Agarwal

The Value Less World

When the situation says right
We say right
When the wind blows the opposite way
We find reasons to sway

Our words don't matter,
Principles are things of the past
Who knows them now?
Convenience is today's game
Need to ace it if you want a name

Intentions are forgotten so fast
It sometimes leaves me aghast
But that's the world today
Either kneel to survive
Or be blown away into oblivion

Choose your path, O' human
Either toe the line
Or have strength to portray
Your true character
Which won't go astray
When everyone around turns away

I choose this path
As it's the only option
If I have faith in my being
To fulfill my destiny
As the Lord will seek answers
In my last journey.
