Best Friend Poem by MNSRAlyssa Bii

Best Friend

Rating: 5.0

My best friend and I have been together for four years
We shared our fair amounts of tears
We were like two peas in a pod
We never called each other a clod.

She was the one who kept me company at recess
She helped relieved me from all my stress
Whenever I was feeling lonely,
I know that she would stop me from feeling so gloomy.

She was the only one who would talk to me in class
She taught me how to show some sass
We may sometimes have our differences
But hey, everyone has their own choices.

She showed me that it's ok to be different
After all, everyone has their own talent.
We told each other what's been going on in life
I know that she would never stab me with a knife.

She always supported me with every decision I make
I value our friendship more than cheesecake
She never judged me when I told her my secrets
She never told me to go on some diets.

Although we both come from different religions
We still hangout, not caring about our origins
Sure we will part ways in the future
But I know that our friendship is stronger.

Sometimes I wonder why she chose to be friends with me
After all, I can be a little bit crazy.
She could have chose anyone from the whole class
But I guess she didn't think that I was a jackass.

She helped me get through my anxiety problem
She said that I wasn't dumb
Even though I will move away in the future,
I'm glad that she was my best friend.

Hi Alyssa, I had just omitted to post: I have only one child, . A daughter whom I am very proud of. She made me very proud years back when she was a small kid of twelve or thirteen. In a school assignment on Best friend, she wrote: My Father Is My Best Friend, for which she won the first place. And the school principal, called me to congratulate me for being such a good parent. Now she a big woman of 25 and still holds me her best friend. at least that is what I believe. Thank you Alyssa for reminding of these good things.

Hi Alyssa, Although I am tempted to read this poem along with the two previous ones (abused and afraid) , I find lot of confidence and positive thinking in this one. Of course, venting your agony is sure, one thing. It serves to de-stress you. The agony in the following lines: We shared our fair amounts of tears We were like two peas in a pod We never called each other a clod. But looking for positive vibes in such situations, as you have described in this poem is appreciated. The lines, Sure we will part ways in the future But I know that our friendship is stronger. comes from a very learned pen. Exquisitely penned.10++
