Punk Girl Poem by MNSRAlyssa Bii

Punk Girl

I was never into all that girly stuff
I always played a little rough
Some might say that I'm an delinquent
But it's not my fault that I like to pull off crazy stunts.

I always spent my spare-time playing my guitar
My friends say that I should be a rock star
The color pink always made me sick
I just want to get out of school quick.

I always wanted to dye my hair blue
I just want to express myself and be true
My mother always tried to get me to wear a dress
But I would rather play a boring game of chess.

My parents say that I am just going through a phase
They say that kids are to wild these days
But what they don't understand is that this is who I truly am
I always hated studying for exam.

My neighbors always said that I play my music too loud
I don't care about what they say, I just want to be loud and proud
My teachers always complain about my attitude
They always say that I always act so rude.

The truth is that I'm not mean at all
I would never accept any alcohol
Others might say that I'm a brute
But deep inside, I can be a bit cute.
