Between the darkness and dreams
And vivid illusions of light
There exists only what seems
To be out of touch, out of sight.

In the dreams whirling around the dark
Corrupted by the light of illusion
There's what seems to be the spark
That is igniting my confusion.

Since what is abhorrently apparent
Could be, may be misperceived
Something false or aberrant,
What am I supposed to believe?

Should I then abandon
This dream world as a fake?
Ignoring it as something random
Crashing brainwaves in its wake?

Dreams lie in-between
The illusions ignited
By the sparks only seen
When closed eyes become sighted.
