Blue Bloods Poem by Nick krakana

Blue Bloods

A prayer and a drink
And then.. they think
Over Sunday dinner
They talk precinct

Of the ways that were..
And the ways that are..
A prayer filled time
Over each in mind

This grace that's brought
To the table now set...
Brings..humility.. calling
Like a safety.. when.. set

Drifting back in mind
To a time gone by...
When horse and rider
Ruled.. the country side

There are parallels.. under Ponderosa Pines
Were men of good character towed the line
Ben... big Hoss... and little Joe.. all true
Historical ties... to the men in Blue
