Brain Torture Poem by Dave Sherratt

Brain Torture

Take my mask and then cast me to the shadows
Increase the pain, let the black dog bite
Send me to my bed of guilt, decorated tortures
Swing your scythe, cut me this night
Bind your words, curse your vocal
Invisible torturer make your devastation
You left me, now you make your return
Inflicting pain and suffocation
Creeping flesh stop right there
Stop your inconceivable greed
Go to your misery, do not return
You've done your best to plant the seed
No one to miss you when you're gone
No one to wait for your revival
No one wants your bitter stench
No one to be a rival..
