Bubbling Waters Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Bubbling Waters

the waters rise
the waters rise
the waters bubble
bubble restless
to-night
the tongues forked
yet sweet
of dark-fond figures
sing
golden and silver notes
notes to the Gods of Wrath
and to the Gods of Pain
then
stop
then
One alone and sad
sings all alone to
the God of Silence.
